Surprise Surprise

Well, its the little details that get you sometimes.  The restaurant was not open on Mon nights.  And, this was a monday.  But no worries.  Chef Extroadinaire Lorenzo made us a fantastic pasta dish and J made us a really nice salad with  homemade dressing and we just happened to pick up a couple bottles of wine for the trip.  (just in case)  So we sat riverside and loved our first night. Two swans swam up while we were cooking and literally stuck their noses over the back of the transome to look in, to see if we had anything for them.  It was obvious this was not their first boarding.  ha  The next morning, we woke up and it was a little foggy and cool out.  We pulled out the local map and the town was very close by.  G unloaded one of the bikes and took off looking for a bakery for our morning round of fresh baguette and croissants.  The chocolate croissants in this country are enough to make a person want to live here!
