Well well, an internet connection. ha  we made it to Florence and have rented a
very nice house to stay in for this week.  so much nicer than hotel rooms.  may
never do that again if we don't have to.

Anyway, I want to catch you up on  couple things we have been up to since our
last entry.  Keep in mind we are going back almost 2 weeks now.  When we left
off we were headed to a hotel/restaurant named Moulin Roc.  Lorenzo has been
telling us about it for years about what an amazing dining and hotel experience he
had there 20 years ago with some other friends he was traveling with. 

As it turns out this restaurant was directly in our line of travel during this week. 
The plan all along for this trip was to celebrate Lorenzo's Birthday, exactly one
month to the day after Aug 17th, at this place Moulin Roc.

So we did, and oh, now I can understand how a person can talk about a place he
ate 20 years ago with such passion you would think it happened yesterday.

The food was out of control.  The service personal were so professional and
polished, and the Magnum of wine we drank that night was one of the best I
personally have EVER had.  we are still carrying the empty bottle with us, in hopes
it can make it back to the US with us.  I know  it sounds silly saying that.

If you knew how full our backpacks are, and how heavy they are allready, you
would know how insane it is to try to carry anything else home with us.  But if you
could have tasted this wine, oh you would understand too. 
Sorry you were not all there with us.  You would have loved it!!!

so enough rambling about the food, and wine, let me attatch some pictures.

This was an old mill built in the 1600's.  Then about 30 years ago, a lady named Salange, bought it with her partner and one year at a time created the amazing restaurant and guest house it is now.  20 years ago, Lorenzo met her and got a full tour of the kitchen and has so many great memories of this place.

This year, we made new ones.  Happy B-Day Lorenzo!!!!! XOXOXOXOXOX
